LED Builds
Paper Lantern
Using the open source software, WLED flashed onto a NodeMCU v3 ESP8226 microcrontroller. This software allows for webserver control of the NeoPixel LED Library which communicates with addressable LEDs such as, WS2812B, WS2811, SK6812.
6 strips of 17 LEDs (ws2812b eco 60leds/m) are wired in parallel. Using 5v 2.5a Wall Wart with CanaKit Button toggle. Pulling between 400-850mA.
Sanded Plexiglass & Parchment paper used for diffusion.
Inspired by WLED community member, Thorn and his project (learn more in links below).

Running ws2812B 30leds/m, total of 10.7m (35′). Using 5v 10a PSU, pulling ~7.2A. LEDs are sitting on 3/4″ x 3/4″ PVC composite corner moulding.
To increase light diffusion, increase LED density (60leds/m) or increase distance between leds & wall. The latter was applied with 1/2″ x 3/4″ pine moulding as a spacer. Considerable monetary and energy savings using spacer versus increasing LED density.

Using Passive Infrared Sensor (PIR), Photoresistor, and Transistor to activate LEDs. Motion && Low Light Intensity will trigger the LEDs.
Ver.2 includes 3v 30leds/m, 18650 Li-Ion Rechargeable Cell, and TP-4056 Charging Module.
The components will sit in custom 3D printed housing. The housing will include Recharging Port, T-Slots for LED and PIR, and Mounting Magnets.
